About us

Knowledge 4 Nurses is a training company dedicated to nurses of all grades. Its uniqueness is in the delivery, presentation and workshop based study days that allow nurses to gain maximum knowledge that transfers easily into clinical practice.  All courses provide CPD and each workshop is facilitated by expert clinicians who are hand picked to ensure that learning is innovative, interactive and fun! Proving to be very popular study days, our clinical workshops are an exciting platform for nurses who want to experience K4Ns unique training style.

Pre-assessment Lead

Emma is the Pre-Assessment lead nurse at  one of the leading nurse-led assessment units in the UK. She manages a large team of pre-assessment staff who assess 30,000 elective surgical patients per year, including 14 directorates and over 140 surgeons. In addition, the department has one of the largest nurse-led cardio pulmonary exercising facilities in the UK.

Specialist Cardiac Physiologis

As an experienced specialist cardiac physiologist Peter routinely perform and report transthoracic
echocardiograms on a range of patients with co-morbid conditions. He also works in a multi-
disciplinary team during transoesophageal echocardiograms and within the cardiac
catheterisation laboratories during routine, complex and high risk percutaneous coronary
interventions. Peter is heavily involved in undergraduate and postgraduate student mentoring and
training for both clinical and healthcare science programmes at Newcastle and Sunderland
Universities.

Non-Medical Prescribing Workshops Course Lead
Angela Telford (RGN, BSc Hons, MSc Hons)
Nurse Specialist Pain Management

Angela has over 30 years experience as a nurse, and currently leads a team of pain nurse specialists in a large teaching hospital.  She is an extremely experienced non-medical prescriber, using this qualification on a daily basis.  She also sits on both local and regional non-medical prescribing committees 

Diabetes Workshops Course Lead
Sonia Willis (RGN),
Independent Nurse Specialist in Diabetes Management and Education

Sonia created her own company in 2015. Sonia continues to work in clinical practice in Rotherham, providing care and management to people living with diabetes and/or heart disease. Having acquired extensive experience over many years, she teaches at many levels for various commissioners and universities. Regularly marking degree and diploma level diabetes papers helps her keep up-to-date. This ensures she maintains confidence to facilitate learning for other Health Care Professionals. She understands how difficult it can be for "generalists" to be "good at everything" so she has made it her mission to provide easy to understand education in the Diabetes specialty.
